Assistant Research Scientist - Chemistry Support

 We are looking for a talented informatician/software developer who will be responsible for writing code to support algorithm development in the chemometrics group. This includes back end C++/Java, front end GUI development, and Oracle database programming.
 

Requirements:

    • BS or MS in Computer Science
    • Two+ years experience in object oriented design and programming (C++)
    • Commitment to principled design process
    • Flexible, highly motivated
    • Willingness to learn
    • Excellent problem solving skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Interest in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Assets:

    • Training in the physical sciences, statistics, and/or mathematics
    • Experience with Visual Studio
    • Knowledge of databases (Oracle) and SQL
    • Experience with signal processing and spectrometry
