Assistant Scientist, Reagent Development
This person will be responsible for the preparation and purification of antibody reagents for monitoring different cell types from blood. Reagents will be evaluated with physical and biological assays. This person will follow standard protocols, help in the development of new protocols and help troubleshoot problems. He/she will accurately document results.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS in chemistry, biochemistry or related field and 2 years laboratory experience including column chromatography (HPLC). Experience with some of the following is helpful: chemical modification of proteins, protein characterization, immunoassays, cell-based assays, and flow cytometry. Experience with scientific software and good communication and organizational skills desired.
Laboratory Assistant/Assistant Scientist (Clinical assays)
Motivated, energetic individuals to participate in the processing and analysis of clinical samples. You will receive training and work with a supervisor in a multi-disciplinary clinical research setting.
Requirements: AA/BA/BS degree in biological sciences, 6 mo. to 2 years of lab experience, including some of the following: cell-based assays, mammalian tissue culture, handling of blood and blood products, immunoassays, and flow cytometry. Good communication skills and the ability to follow written protocols with care. Willingness to work evenings.
