Assistant Informatics Research Scientist (Chemistry Support)
We are looking for a talented informatician/software developer who will be responsible for writing code to support algorithm development in the chemometrics group. This includes back end C++/Java, front end GUI development, and Oracle database programming.
Requirements:
• BS or MS in Computer Science;
• Two+ years experience in object oriented design and programming (C++);
• Commitment to principled design process;
• Flexible, highly motivated;
• Willingness to learn;
• Excellent problem solving skills;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Interest in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Assets:
• Training in the physical sciences, statistics, and/or mathematics;
• Experience with Visual Studio;
• Knowledge of databases (Oracle) and SQL;
• Experience with signal processing and spectrometry.
